On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, President Michel Martelly accompanying Prime Minister Evans Paul and Governor Charles Castel inaugurated the convention center and documentation of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) and unveiled a monument of the earthquake victims of 12 January 2010. The President expressed his warm congratulation to the Board of the BRH and other actors involved in the construction of this modern building. The building has been constructed over 6,000 square meter area as per earthquake and para cyclonic resistance norms at a cost of $14.5 million. It consists a multi-purpose exhibition space (900 square meters), an administrative area, two control rooms for simultaneous translation, four meeting rooms equipped with video conferencing facilities, a lobby (380 square meters), a foyer (300 square meters), one documentation area, five office space on the rue Pavée, a restaurant with accommodating capacity for 125 people and a dressing room for artists for musical and theatrical performance. The Head of the State invited other institutions to follow the example of the BRH.
