This is a new age and as such you can no longer expect for business to be conducted the old way. This is true for the new US Ambassador as he decided to present himself in front of the Haitian population via a Video. here is the actual video where the new Ambassador gave a brief presentation of his background.

Mr. Peter F. Mulrean has been a career member of the Foreign Service of the United States. Prior to his nomination to become US ambassador in Haiti, he occupied the position of Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that, he was Director of Interagency Provincial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, Counselor for Refugee and Migration Affairs at the United Nations in Geneva, and Regional Director of the Middle East Partnership Initiative at the U.S. Embassy in Tunis

Mr. Mulrean received an A.B. from Harvard University and speaks French fluently
