Protest Anti Martelly did not meet expectation
The Protest organized by the opposition against Martelly did not meet expectation.
On Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014. A few thousand protesters allied with Haiti's opposition marched in the Haitian capital demanding that they vote in legislative and local elections.
The rally began in the neighborhood of Bel Air as they hold up their voting cards to show they were ready to cast ballots
Sen. Moise Jean-Charles was present in the protest as he rode on horseback through the streets
Later in the afternoon, Police got involved as the use tear gas to break the protest
Two of the protest organizers were taken into custody. Biron Odige and Rony Timothee of FOPARK were arrested at the opposition rally in Bel Air, at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the morning and taken to the police station in Petion-ville
