He was born on November6, 1989 in Linington, New Jersey into haitian parents, Josmer Volmy "Jozy" Altidore is a Professional soccer player.

Jozy Altidor who war taken out of the first 2014 World Cup soccergame while he was playing for the U.S is not expected to play on June 26 against Germany.

He begane playing at a professional level in 2006 when he was only 16 years old.

He played for the U.S U-17 team at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship, U-20 team at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, the U-23 team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also was a member of the senior national team at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, and the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.

His annual salary was about 2.2 million a year in 2011
