Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, according to the president, is willing to sacrifice his post for the sake of the country. Also being asked to resign is the president of the Supreme Court, and various Provisional Electoral Council members. These recommendations, along with the answer to the demand by protesters recently for the release of certain political prisoners will also be met, according to President Martelly.
