With only 5 Days before January 12, resignation and negotiation mark the day

As meetings upon meetings are underway this Wednesday, 7 Jan 2015, between Haiti president Michel Martelly and a delegation of senators at the Kinam Hotel, this is what we have learned:

The long awaited resignation of Judge Anel Alexis Joseph finally took place. Although it has not been made official, it is a fact that has been confirmed. Anel Alexis Joseph is no longer heading the CSPJ. What was giving in return for his resignation? we do not know yet.

Many senators present at the negotiation today made several demands as the government is trying to get enough Senators to confirm Evans Paul as the new Prime Minister before the January 12 deadline. Everything is on the table as the Martelly government is currently pressing for time. It seems like the government find itself in a corner and can only agree to the various demands of the opposition.

Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras who has been accused for engaging the Senate without the approval of the other Senators stated that has not been the case. He said that he usually receive approval before putting his signature on any paper engaging the Haitian senate. Furthermore, the President of the Senate said that he will no longer be involved in negotiation by himself
