Here is a video showing you what the Haitians have to go through in the Bahamas. This is Immigration Operation in the Bahamas against Haitian Immigrants. It took place in november, 2014 following a new law passed in the island to control the flow of illegal immigration.
Under a new law that took effect on November 1, 2014, the Bahamian government will not give work permits to anyone residing illegally in the country. In the meantime, all people withe resident status are required by law to carry their passports at all times.
Bahamian government stated however that the current wave of arrest doesn't have anything to do with their new immigration law. Over 70 people were arrested over the weekend, mostly illegal Haitian immigrants
